Last week’s class on <2015-09-06 Sun> was a disaster to say the least. I was struggling to compose any new piece. I was blindly following Sir’s notation. I found even that to be a difficult task. Sir was disappointed with me and said I wasn’t learning well. I did realize the problem- Not enough practice. I should take time out atleast this week and get on to practice. In any case I am away from work and hence I should find time to practice meand and vilambit. I need to work on the following aspects :

  • How does the beat of vilambit lay differ from the usual teen taal?
  • How should I place various notes on a single beat ?
  • I need to practice with chikari to get a good sense of gaps in each note
